Support groups

Brain aneurysm support group: Circle of Friends

The Circle of Friends support group offers education, support and resources for brain aneurysm survivors. Family members, caregivers and all others interested are welcome to attend.

  • There is no charge for attending and refreshments will be served
  • Parking tickets will be validated
  • Preregistration required
  • Group meets from 5:45pm to 7pm at North Shore University Hospital's 9 Tower - large conference room

Stroke Support Group for Survivors and Caregivers

The Stroke Support Group for Survivors and Caregivers offers education, support and resources for stroke survivors. Family members, caregivers and all others interested are welcome to attend.

  • This group meets every Friday at North Shore University Hospital from 10am to 1:30pm.
  • At various times throughout the year, the Stroke Club hosts guest speakers, organized luncheons, entertainment and various therapies such as dance, pets, music, horticultural and relaxation.
  • Stroke Survivors and caregivers bring their own bagged lunch except for the third Friday of every month, when a pizza and salad lunch is provided.
